Personal Profile

Dr. Lourdes R. Lago Gonzalez is an ABPN Board-Certified Neurologist specializing in Movement Disorders, with extensive experience in diagnosing and treating a wide range of neurological conditions. With a fellowship in Movement Disorders from the University of Miami, she has developed expertise in the use of Botulinum toxin for conditions like dystonia, hemifacial spasm, and chronic headaches, as well as proficiency in Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) programming for Parkinson's disease and Essential Tremor. Dr. Lago has served in leadership roles, including Chief Resident during her neurology residency, and has been dedicated to patient care in various settings, from academic hospitals to managed care. Her research and presentations have contributed to the field, and she actively participates in continuing education, demonstrating a commitment to advancing neurological care. Fluent in both English and Spanish, Dr. Lago is proficient with multiple EHR systems, ensuring efficient patient management.
